FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Hi-Lo is a deceptively simple card game
where the player has to decide if the next card is
higher or lower than their own card.
The player places a wager on whether or not they can guess the next card correctly until they guess all cards correctly, or they lose the round - and their wager! The game ends when all cards have been played, or the player has used up all of their points.
The player places a wager on whether or not they can guess the next card correctly until they guess all cards correctly, or they lose the round - and their wager! The game ends when all cards have been played, or the player has used up all of their points.
- The game consists of 10 rounds of five cards, and at the start of each round only the first card will be face-up.
- Before you make a guess, you will be asked to place a wager. Your wager cannot be lower than one or higher than your total points. When you start a new game you are automatically allocated 100 points.
- When you have made your wager you will be asked to predict whether the next card is higher or lower than the current card.
- If you guess correctly, you will continue to repeat the first three steps until you have guessed all cards. Remember, there are a total of 10 rounds of cards per game.
- If the next card is a match, you neither win or lose and your wager is returned to your points.
- If you guess incorrectly, the current round ends and you will be asked if you want to continue to the next round, or exit the game.
- When you have correctly guessed all cards, your wager is added to your total points; congratulations, you won the round!
- After completing 10 rounds the card pack will be empty - if this happens, you will be asked if you want to start a new game, or exit the game.
- The game will end if you use all of your points - if this happens, you will be asked if you want to start a new game, or exit the game.
The minimum is one point, and the maximum is your total points balance. Your
current points balance is shown on screen, as you play.
This is determined randomly at the start of
each game, and is shown on screen during each round of cards.
