What is Older & Wider?

Older & Wider is the weekly podcast where award-winning comedian, Jenny Eclair, and producer\writer, Judith Holder, have a natter, while putting the world to rights.

Originally aimed at the older woman, its fanbase has since expanded (widened?) to include men and women, both young and "older".

Since its inception, in 2018, the podcast has logged over 250 episodes, and received over 5 and a half million downloads.

A recent run of live shows were so popular that additional dates had to be added after tickets sold out in 48 hours (matinees only though, because we all want to be home at a sensible time).

Who is Judith Holder?

Before Judith started presenting the Older & Wider podcast with Jenny she had a highly successful career as broadcaster, producer and writer for ITV and the BBC.

She has worked with stars, including Dame Edna Everage, Clive James, and Joanna Lumley, and created “Grumpy Old Women”, which spawned a stage show that was seen around the world.

She has been BAFTA-nominated (twice), is a best-selling author, and originated the idea for this podcast.

Who is Jenny Eclair?

Jenny's talents encompass comedy, writing, and acting, and she was the first woman to win the Edinburgh Festival Perrier Award (in 1995).

Her candid humour and caring nature have resonated with audiences around the world, with television appearances on shows such as “The Bill”, “Room 101”, and “Loose Women”.

More recently she was a popular contestant on “I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” and “Taskmaster”.

Jenny met Judith while helping to create the highly successful show “Grumpy Old Women”, where they quickly became fast friends.
